In 1956 youth leader Al Johnson brought his youth group to Mexico. They worked with a national pastor bringing a message of hope to the Mexican people. The youth went home changed. Other youth leaders caught the vision and followed suit. In 1964 YUGO (Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach) became a non profit organization. Today YUGO has over 30 staff from the US, Canada and Mexico... Our current Orientation/Missionary Training program has been developed due to the evolving needs of a growing organization.YUGO is committed to the well-being of their missionaries helping them minister in their areas of ministry effectively while recognizing the possible hazards and stresses that come with cross-cultural life and ministry. It is our purpose to embrace you through your time of transition as you go forth into a third culture situation. Here are the training sessions that are offered to staff so they can thrive in their ministries. -Cross-cultural Communication -Communication from the Field -Interpersonal Relationships
YUGO also provides materials and follow up for their missionaries at re-entry.
